Dear Folks,
Today is a very very important & special day for my son Rabind.
It is the day of his Presentation, and a day he has been looking forward to so much. He has been asking so many questions about it and has been really excited about all the preparations that have been going on, during the past few days. It is a turning point in his life and I stand here with great joy and gratitude that Integrated Systems has made this a day to reckon with and that something worthwhile has been activated in his training during the past 7 months. It is dream come true for me, to get this training here from Mrs. vani Sukumar and her Team.
The truth is that I had been trying to get Robby here 8 years back. But I could not succeed. I tried again 4 years ago. But the same happened. This time I had been planning before I came here itself, that this time, I would get him into this Training. Somehow, I was determined.
In February, I didnt tell him where we were going. I had fixed up an appointment with Mrs. Vani Sukumar, brought him here. She wanted to assess him for 2weeks to see if he could be trained. She gave the green signal and started his Training in March 2014.
I was elated ! My job was to just manage to get him here, and she would take over. He objected vehemently, like he did many times his Dad and I took him to special institutions in the past. But this time by God’s grace he gradually and reluctantly, relented and starting to like coming here, meet everyone, interact with them and enjoy himself.
Everybody here was so kind and understanding and gave him so much love and care that he missed his classes on weekends! He used to insist that there was class even on Sundays!
He started to enjoy his Training. It was completely focused on life skills,\. He learnt how to use the cellphone, send sms, take photos with the cell camera, take videos, use the Calculator, type on the computer, learn to read and write better, speak better and more coherently on the phone and to people in general. His social skills improved over a period of time.
He looked forward to meeting Mrs. Vani Sukumar and Karthiga ma’am everyday, interacting with them in a happy and jovial way.
He holds Mrs. Vani Sukumar in high esteem. He respects her a lot and enjoys a very free pattern of communication with her.
He admires Mr. Sukumar, who has become a great role model and a friend to him. He enjoys a very special relationship with him, since he gives him a lot of encouragement and joy.
They have all done a lot for Robby very sincerely and I am most grateful to them for their wholehearted support to Robby and to me also.
